Islam as a religion began with the mission of the Prophet Muhammad in the 7th century CE. From that moment, Islam has grown into a global faith, with its rules and practices, such as prayer, fasting, and Hajj, guiding its followers.

Becoming Muslim is very easy and anyone can do it even if he is all alone in the desert or in a locked room. So, get up, have a shower and say: ‘Ash-hadu alla ilaha illallah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan `abduhu wa rasuluhu (I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger).’
