Repent before it is too late and before you regret not doing your duty towards Allah, for death comes suddenly. Allah may give respite, but no wrongdoer can escape His punishment, and He is Almighty and is the One Who wreaks vengeance.

If the sin has to do with something that is between a person and his Lord, then it is sufficient for him to repent, seek forgiveness, regret what he did and resolve not to go back to those sins. It is not a condition of repentance that the Hadd punishment be carried out.

This is how to repent in Islam: give up the sin straight away, regret what has happened in the past, resolve not to go back to sinning, restore people’s rights or property, and repent before the agony of death is upon you.
