The one who listens to a Surah is not regarded as having read it. So, if a person wants the reward of reading Surat Al-Kahf on Friday, then he has to read it and it is not enough just to listen to it.

No one knows exactly when he will die, or in what land he will die. There are no specific signs by which a person may know that his death and the end of his life are approaching. But there are some signs which may indicate that the end of a person’s life is approaching, such as if he suffers a severe sickness from which people hardly ever recover.

The month of Allah, al-Muharram, is a great and blessed month. It is the first month of the Hijri year and is one of the sacred months.

1. According to the view of the majority of scholars, it is encouraged (mustahabb) to fast the first nine days of Dhul-Hijjah. 2. There are several scholarly opinions concerning the hadeeth of ‘Aishah according to which the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) did not fast these ten days. Here are some virtues of the Day of Arafah: 1- Fasting on this day is an expiation for two years, 2- It is the day of forgiveness of sins, 3- It is a day of ‘Eid.
