Refraining from sin will only save a person if it is done out of fear of Allah. Refraining from sin out of respect and love for any created being is a type of shirk.6,231From Eternity to Here: Islamic View
It is possible that before our universe there were other universes, and before them were other universes, until past eternity. In other words, Allah creates creation after creation. This is the famous issue of the sequence of creations.9,874Reading Messages on Fortune-telling: Allowed?
If someone reads the messages that contain fortune-telling and predictions for the future believing in them, then he is rightfully subject to the warning which says that he has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and that no prayer will be accepted from him for forty days. For more, please see the detailed answer.13,752Can We See Allah In This World?
Seeing Allah, may He be exalted, in this world is not possible for anyone, whether he is a believer or a disbeliever.13,030The fate of those who commit major sins, if they die persisting in those sins
15,105If a disbeliever becomes a Muslim but is still persisting in a sin, is his Islam valid?
If a disbeliever or apostate becomes Muslim but persists in committing a sin from which he has not repented, his becoming Muslim is valid according to scholarly consensus. See a detailed discussion of that in the long answer.8,167Ruling on objecting to some of the shar’i rulings that have been prescribed by Allaah
22,765Is this statement that is attributed to ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) sound – “Did you come to know your Lord through Muhammad?”?
The words that were attributed to ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) – Did you come to know your Lord through Muhammad…? – are words that are to be found in the books of the Shi‘ah as part of a long story. The evidence that this is a lie is obvious in this report, as they use it to impugn Abu Bakr and ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) and cast aspersions on their knowledge, and they narrate it with an isnaad that is not free of narrators who were accused of lying and narrators who are unknown.8,463
