Openly flaunting one`s sins implies disrespect towards Allah and His Messenger, and the righteous believers, and is a type of stubborn provocation. Concealing sin protects one against being disrespectful in this manner, because sin brings humiliation upon the people who commit it.

Speaking about your sin and flaunting it openly in front of your friends is prohibited in Islam and is a major sin. Exposing sins in Islam is one of the ways of spreading immorality among the Muslims, encouraging evil and tempting others to do similar things.

In Islam, conversation, whether verbally or in writing, between men and women is permissible in and of itself, but it may be a way of falling into the traps of the Satan. Whoever knows that he is somewhat weak, and is afraid that he may fall into the traps of the Shaytan, has to refrain from such conversations, in order to save himself.
