“There is no i’tikaaf except in the three mosque”

When should a person who is observing i’tikaaf during the last ten days of Ramadan enter i’tikaaf and exit from it?

Is it valid to observe i’tikaaf in any mosque?

I’tikaf is Sunnah and can be observed at any time of the year but it is better to observe it in Ramadan, especially in the last ten days.
