• If you are certain that the discharge came out while you were praying, or before you prayed [and after you did Wudu], then your prayer is invalid, and you have to clean yourself, purify your clothing and body of whatever got onto them, and do Wudu again and repeat the prayer. • If you are not sure whether the discharge came out while you were praying, or before or after that, then you do not have to repeat anything, because the basic principle is that you started praying in a state of purity, and the prayer cannot be deemed invalid on the basis of mere uncertainty.

Deceiving the customer and telling him that the price of the item is fifty, and that the price has been reduced to thirty for a special occasion, such as `Eid for example, even though there has been no reduction at all, is clearly lying.

If money was given to a person for a certain purpose, then he does not have the right to spend it on anything else, or to give some of it to anyone, except with the permission of those who gave it to him. Additionally, he must return whatever is left over of it, if there is anything left over.

The Quran is complete healing for all spiritual (mental) and physical diseases, and all ailments in this world and the Hereafter. If the sick person seeks treatment in the Quran in the proper manner, and applies it to his illness with sincerity and faith, and complete acceptance, and firm belief, fulfilling the necessary conditions, the illness will never resist it.

1- It is permissible for the supplicant to ask of his Lord by virtue of the Quran, because that comes under the heading of seeking to draw close to Allah by virtue of one of His attributes. 2- The most correct scholarly view is that it is prohibited to seek to draw close to Allah and ask of Him (Tawassul) by virtue of the Prophet. 3- Seeking to draw close to Allah by virtue of created beings comes under the heading of reprehensible innovation, and is objectionable according to what is commonly known among people and on the basis of the wording itself. 4- Seeking to draw close to Allah by virtue of the trumpet blast, and the progeny of Nuh, and the caliphate of As-Siddiq, and the courage of ‘Ali, and so on – is something that came about as a result of the supplicant’s attempt to be poetic and make things rhyme [in Arabic], without thinking about the meaning.

1- Islam does not prevent one from seeking a high-status occupation and a good job. Rather Islam encourages that and urges Muslims to seek a better level and better situation; in fact, they should seek what is best and strive to attain it, on condition that they do not give precedence to that over their faith and pursuit of righteousness. 2- What many people think about some occupations – such as carpentry, blacksmithing and tending flocks – being lowly, is not correct, and to refute that view it is sufficient to note that these were the occupations and work of the best of Allah’s creation, namely the Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon them). 3- Seeking high status occupations and high status positions is not permissible except for one who attains them in a rightful manner and uses them in a rightful manner. 4- The fact that Islam urges the Muslim to seek the highest level in both religious and worldly terms is not contrary to contentment with the divine decree and what Allah has allotted to him, because one of the means of attaining that is taking appropriate measures.

1- It is prohibited to treat sickness with things that are completely forbidden or impure such as treating sickness with Khamr. 2- If medicine is mixed with intoxicants and the amount of intoxicant is small, a number of scholars have ruled that it is permissible to take this type of medicine. if the amount of the intoxicating substance is large, it is not permissible to dispense the medicine to the patient. 3- If something that is prohibited has lost the characteristics because of which it was prohibited, it is permissible to take that medicine and it is permissible to prescribe it for patients. But if the trace of the prohibited substance is still there, it is not permissible to prescribe it or use it to treat sickness.

1- If your father’s aim was to achieve a specific purpose, then you do not have the right to spend the money on anything else, even if he did not emphasise that it was a trust and was only to be used for that purpose. 2- But if he was only advising you [as to how to spend it] and he would not mind if you spend it on something else, then there is no blame on you in that case.

The way to work out the Zakah on cash is to give 25 Riyals for every thousand. So if you have ten thousand, the Zakah is 250 Riyals. Or you can divide the amount you have by forty, and whatever results from that division is the amount of Zakah that must be paid.

Alternatives for Islamic Banks to avoid late-payment charges include: 1- the bank appointing someone as a guarantor; 2- the bank taking something in mortgage; 3- the bank stipulating that the customer should open an account in the bank; and 4- the bank putting the customer on a blacklist.
