Prophet Muhammad’s advice on business: 1- He used to enjoin traders to be righteous and honest and to give charity. 2- He used to enjoin people to be tolerant and easy-going in buying and selling. 3- He used to give people their rights and urge others to do likewise. 4- He used to urge people to let a buyer cancel the transaction if he regrets it. 5- He used to bargain with people when buying, but he would not go so far as to undermine the real value of the item 6- He used to urge people to give a little more when weighing. 7- He used to enjoin people to give more time for a debtor who is in financial difficulty, or to waive the debt. 8- He forbade transactions involving Riba and transactions involving ambiguity.

1. The biographers and historians differed concerning the day and month of the birth of the Prophet. 2. The strongest opinion concerning the birth of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) is that he was born between the eighth and the twelfth of Rabee‘ al-Awwal in the Year of the Elephant. 3. The most well-known view is that the death of the Prophet occurred on 12th Rabee‘ al-Awwal 11 AH.

Prophet Muhammad’s (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) children are: Al-Qasim, `Abdullah, Ibrahim, Zaynab, Ruqayyah, Umm Kulthum and Fatimah.

Wives of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) are: 1. Khadijah bint Khuwaylid 2. Sawdah bint Zam’ah ibn Qays 3. ‘Aishah bint Abi Bakr al-Siddiq 4. Hafsah bint ‘Umar 5. Zaynab bint Khuzaymah 6. Umm Salamah bint Abi Umayyah 7. Juwayriyah bint al-Harith 8. Zaynab bint Jahsh 9. Umm Habibah bint Abi Sufyan 10. Maymunah bint al-Harith 11. Safiyyah bint Huyayy ibn Akhtab May Allah be pleased with them all.

Prophet Muhammad spent most of his day dealing with that which concerned him of matters of religion and the people’s affairs, such as calling people to Allah, advising them, reminding them, introducing rulings, striving in Jihad, enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil, helping the needy, and so on.

When the persecution of the people of Makkah against the Muslims grew intense, Allah commanded the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to migrate to Madinah so that they could establish the religion of Allah in a land where they could worship Him.

Prophet Muhammad was born in Makkah in the year of the Elephant. His father died before he was born, and after he was born, Haleemah al-Sa’diyyah nursed him. When he was six years old, he visited his maternal uncles in Madinah with his mother Aminah bint Wahb. On the way back to Makkah, his mother died in al-Abwa. 1- Some of the names of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) are clearly proven in the Quran and Sunnah. In the Quran, he is called Muhammad and Ahmad. Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “I have several names. I am Muhammad, I am Ahmad, I am al-Mahi and I am al-Hashir.” 2- The scholars differed concerning many names and whether they may correctly be attributed to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) or not. This led to them differing concerning the number of these names.

Ilyas is one of the ancestors of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), as is proven and well known, and is agreed upon among the scholars.
