There is nothing wrong with studying futures contracts and other financial contracts and dealings even if they are prohibited, subject to two conditions: 1. that the student should have enough Islamic knowledge to be able to distinguish between contracts that are permissible and those which are prohibited, 2- he should believe that what Allah has prohibited of such contracts is prohibited.

We do not know of anything in the Sunnah to indicate that Prophet Muhammad used to do any kind of exercise or play sports as known nowadays. The Companions used to train in horsemanship and the skills of fighting and running, and they were extremely strong and tough.

Contemporary scholars differ with regard to offering prizes in order to attract customers and there are two views, one of which is that it is not allowed at all, and the other is that it may be permissible, so long as certain conditions are met.

In Islam, it is permissible for a woman to go out for work with the following conditions: 1- there is a need to work in order to acquire the money she needs; 2- the work should be suited to her nature; 3- the work should be in a place that is only for women; 4- she should observe complete Hijab; 5- her work should not lead to her travelling without a Mahram; 6- her going out to work should not involve committing any prohibited action, 7- her work should not lead to neglecting things that are more essential for her.

If there is some defect in the nose and the purpose of the cosmetic surgery is to remove that defect, then there is nothing wrong with nose jobs (rhinoplasty). But if the purpose is simply to make it more beautiful, then it is not permissible to do this cosmetic nose surgery.

It is OK for a woman to remove hair on the upper lip, thighs, calves and arms. This is not the same as plucking the eyebrows which is forbidden. More details below.

Proper Hijab should: 1. Should cover all the body. 2. Should not be an adornment in and of itself. 3. Should be thick and not transparent or see-through. 4. Should be loose. 5. Should not be perfumed. 6. Should not resemble the clothing of men. 7. Should not resemble the dress of disbelieving women. 8. Should not be a garment of fame and vanity.

The ‘awrah of a woman in front of her mahrams is her entire body except that which usually appears such as the face and hair, neck, forearms and feet. The ‘awrah of a woman with another woman is the area between the navel and the knee.

The Sunnah is to offer the `Aqiqah on the seventh day. So, if the child was born on Saturday, the `Aqiqah is to be done on Friday, i.e., one day before the day on which the child was born.

Scholars have different views on the ruling on `aqiqah. Some say that it is obligatory, some say that it is recommended and some say that it is a confirmed Sunnah. The latter is the most correct view. But there is no difference of opinion that `aqiqah is not obligatory for one who is poor, let alone one who is in debt.
