Prophet Muhammad enjoined zakat al-fitr on the Muslims, one sa’ of dates or one sa’ of barley, and he commanded that it be given before the people went out to the ‘Eid prayer.

What is prohibited when fasting is inhaling Bukhur, not merely smelling its fragrance, because Bukhur has particles, so if it reaches the throat, it breaks the fast. There is nothing wrong with one who is praying smelling perfume or Bukhur.

It is permissible to shower while fasting and that does not affect the fast.

The correct view is that swallowing mucus does not break the fast because it does not come under the same heading as food and drink. Putting a finger in one’s ear does not break the fast either.

Fasting the day of doubt is haram because the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade the Companions to fast it
