1. If a sick person cannot (ritually) purify himself with water, by doing Wudu in the case of minor impurity or Ghusl in the case of major impurity, because he is unable to do so, or because he is afraid that it may make the sickness worse or delay his recovery, then he may do Tayammum. 2. The way to do Tayammum following menses is no different from the way of doing Tayammum in the case of minor impurity. 3. It is permissible to offer more than one obligatory prayer with Tayammum and you do not have to repeat it for every prayer.

You must pay Zakah on the land which has been in your possession for a year. You have to determine the value of the land at the end of the year and pay one-quarter of ten percent. If you do not have cash to pay the Zakah on trade goods, then it becomes a debt that you owe and must be paid whenever possible.

If you catch up with the Imam after he has stood up from Ruku`, this means that you have missed the Jumu`ah prayer. But if a person does not catch up with the prayer for a reason that is beyond his control, then there is no sin on him.

Seeking medication is obligatory in cases where not giving medication could cause death, disability or the loss of a limb, or where the sickness is bound to spread if not treated, as in contagious diseases. 2. Treatment and medication are ways of utilizing the laws of cause and effect that Allah has incorporated into the running of the universe. 3. Seeking the patient’s permission depends on whether he is qualified to give it (i.e., he should be of sound mind, mature and responsible). If this is not the case, then the permission of his guardian should be sought, within the limits set by Shari`ah.

1. Taking the Mus-haf into bathrooms and other unclean places is forbidden because that is disrespectful towards the Words of Allah. If one fears that the Mus-haf may be stolen, then they can take it into the bathroom. 2. It is permissible to take tapes of the Quran into the bathroom.

Changing clothes does not break one’s wudu if the person is in a state of purity and does not do any of the things that break wudu. Men and women are the same in this regard.

The one who most deserves to lead the prayer is the one who has the most knowledge of the rulings on prayer and has memorized the most Quran.

The following are matters that invalidate prayer: 1- that which invalidates Wudu, 2- uncovering the `Awrah, 3- turning away from the Qiblah, 4- excessive continuous movement during the prayer, 5- omitting one of the pillars of the prayer, 6- saying the Salam before completing the prayer, 7- laughing out loud, 8- eating and drinking.

Poverty has negative effects on people’s beliefs and conduct. 2- Islam fought poverty by: 1- teaching people that provision comes from Allah and that He is the Provider, 2- seeking refuge with Allah from poverty, 3- encouragement to work and earn a living, 4- making zakah obligatory on the rich, 5- encouragement to give charity, set up waqfs and sponsor orphans and widows, 6- prohibition of riba, gambling and deceit in selling, and encouragement to help the needy and support the weak.
