There are 5 categories of actions in Islam: 1- Fard (Obligatory); 2- Mustahab (Recommended); 3- Haram (Prohibited) 4- Makruh (Disliked); and 5- Mubah (Permissible).

Islamic banks are based on permissible transactions such as selling, buying, profit sharing, partnerships and other Islamically-acceptable forms of investment. The interest-based system on which commercial banks are based is a prohibited system that is based on lending and borrowing with Riba.

If the Imam’s mistakes do not alter the meaning of Al-Fatihah, there is nothing wrong with praying behind him. But if his mistake changes the meaning, then people should not pray behind him if he does not benefit from prompting.

In Islam, it is permissible for a woman to go out for work with the following conditions: 1- there is a need to work in order to acquire the money she needs; 2- the work should be suited to her nature; 3- the work should be in a place that is only for women; 4- she should observe complete Hijab; 5- her work should not lead to her travelling without a Mahram; 6- her going out to work should not involve committing any prohibited action, 7- her work should not lead to neglecting things that are more essential for her.

Contemporary scholars differ with regard to offering prizes in order to attract customers and there are two views, one of which is that it is not allowed at all, and the other is that it may be permissible, so long as certain conditions are met.

Allah exempted the sick from having to do Wudu with water and has allowed them to do Tayammum. If Wudu will harm your skin or delay your recovery, then you should do Tayammum, and there is no sin on you.

Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Do not pray when food is ready or when you are trying to stop yourself from doing either of the two things that invalidate Wudu (i.e., urination and defecation).” So, everything that may distract a person, keep him from being properly focused in his prayer, or worry him, should be dealt with before he starts to pray.

The distance which allows a traveller to break his fasting and shorten his prayers is approximately 80 km according to the view of the majority of scholars. This distance is called travelling according to the custom of the Muslims. So if a person travels by camel, car, plane or ship, for this distance or more, he is regarded as a traveller.

If a person swore many oaths and broke them but did not offer an expiation for any of them, then there are two scenarios: 1- If the many oaths had to do with a single matter, then this requires one expiation. 2- If the oaths had to do with different matters, the majority of scholars are of the view that he must offer several expiations, and this is the correct view. 2. If you are not certain of the number of oaths, then try to work out the approximate number, then offer expiations for that approximate number. 3. If your relatives are poor and needy, and you invite ten of them to lunch or dinner, that will be sufficient as an expiation for your oath
