1. Dry impurity cannot be transferred if it comes into contact with another dry surface. But if the impurity is wet, then it is most likely that it could be transferred, whether it comes into contact with something that is wet or that is dry. 2. Honey, cream and other semi-liquids are affected by impure substances if they come into contact and mix with them. 3. If the impurity is a small amount, such that it cannot be seen by the naked eye, such as small droplets of urine and the like, then some of the scholars say that it is overlooked. 4. If the feet on which there is impurity become sweaty, the impurity will inevitably be transferred to the socks, because wet impurity is transferred to other things, even if the place to which it is transferred is dry.

The end of menses may be confirmed by dryness, according to most jurists, except for what was narrated from Imam Malik about the woman who usually sees the white discharge; in her case, the end of menses is not marked by dryness.

It is stipulated that the weapon used for hunting should be sharp so that it creates a wound and has an impact on the flesh by cutting or piercing. The pellets that are shot by an air rifle for hunting cut and penetrate the body, so it is valid to hunt with it.

It is not permissible for the lender to stipulate in a loan contract that the borrower must pay back the loan with more than he took. It is permissible to make the borrower pay the costs of issuing the loan and other related services, on condition that the amount paid is equal to the real costs involved in issuing the loan.

Items that are solid and smooth (impermeable) may be purified by wiping them. If the impure substance gets onto cushions and large furnishings, water should be poured on the impure spot, until the water overwhelms the impure substance that got onto it. There is no religious text which states the number of times impurity must be washed, except the impurity of a dog only, which must be washed seven times. If impurity falls into water, it does not become impure unless it is changed thereby, such as if its colour or smell is changed. If the impure garment is washed in a washing machine and the trace of impurity is removed from it, then it becomes pure thereby.

The prostration of gratitude is one of the greatest acts by which a person may express gratitude to his Lord because of what it involves of humbling oneself before Allah and thanking Allah in one’s heart, in one’s words and in one’s actions. 2. The correct view is that the prostration of gratitude is not subject to the same stipulations as for prayer, such as purifying oneself, covering one’s `Awrah (which includes Hijab for women), turning to face the Qiblah, and so on.

1. There is nothing wrong with using things made from the skins of animals whose meat is permissible to eat. As for those things made from the skins of carnivores, it is not permissible to use them at all. 2. As for things made from the skins of animals whose meat is not permissible to eat, it is better not to use them, because there is a strong difference of scholarly opinion concerning that.

What is required of one who seized wealth by force or stole it is to return the currency in accordance with its value on the day on which it was seized or stolen. If what was stolen was particular items, then the thief is liable for any drop in prices. In the case of other debts, there should be differentiation between small and great changes in the value of currency. If the change is small, and does not reach one third of the debt, then the same amount must be paid back, and no attention should be paid to the value of the loan when it was given. But if there was a big change, as much as one third or more, then an agreement must be worked out between the two parties to share the loss. If it is decided that payment is to be made on the basis of the value of the loan on the day when it was given, then it should be worked out according to the price of gold at the time when the loan was given, or according to the purchasing power of the currency at that time, but it should be paid back in a different currency than that in which the loan was given.

• The commercial insurance contracts that are well known and widespread throughout the world are undoubtedly prohibited. • With regard to the money that one earned from doing unlawful work, whatever he earned before he realised that his ork is prohibited is permissible for him. Whatever he earned after he realised that it is haram for him. • With regard to his wife and children who are sponsored by the one who earned prohibited wealth through forbidden work, there is no blame on them for what he spends on them. Rather the sin and prohibition apply to the one who acquired that wealth, and no one else.

1. It is not permissible to make lost property announcements in the mosques or to make announcements about items that have been found. 2. Whoever wants to make a lost property announcement, let him go outside the mosque, and if he writes on a piece of paper and sticks it on the outside wall of the mosque. 3. If the advertisement has to do with an act of worship, there is nothing wrong with it. But if the advertisement has to do with worldly matters, then it is prohibited.
