Witr prayer is a confirmed sunnah according to the majority of scholars. Whoever omits to pray Witr deliberately is a bad man, whose testimony should not be accepted.

The words of the Prophet “and two Rak`ahs offered in the forenoon (Duha) will suffice for that (i.e., charity)” are indicative of the great virtue of Duha and how important it is. The narration also indicates that it may be offered with two Rak`ahs. Also, the Prophet advised Abu Hurayrah never to give it up.

There are three reasons why praying Istikharah is important: 1- To show our desperate need of Allah alone, disconnect any hope except in Allah, and put our trust in Him. 2- To make the right choice, be successful in what one is striving to achieve, and to be helped by Allah in one’s efforts. 3- To accept divine decree and be content.

The view of the majority of scholars is that Du`a Al-Istikharah is said after finishing the prayer.

The confirmed sunnah prayers are: 1- 4 rak’ahs before Zhuhr; 2- 2 rak’ahs after Zhuhr; 3- 2 rak’ahs after Maghrib; 4- 2 rak’ahs after ‘Isha; and 5- 2 rak’ahs before the Fajr.

1- Sunnah prayers are of two types: * Sunnah prayers which are done before the obligatory prayer – two rak’ahs before Fajr and four before Zhuhr. * Sunnah prayers which are done after the obligatory prayer – two rak’ahs after Zhuhr, two rak’ahs after Maghrib and two rak’ahs after ‘Isha. 2- It is not correct to pray the Sunnah prayer before the time for the obligatory prayer begins, rather you should wait until the time for that prayer comes, then pray it.

Forbidden prayer times are: 1- From dawn until the sun has risen to the height of a spear; 2- When it is directly overhead at noon until it has passed its zenith; and 3- From ‘Asr prayer until the sun has set completely.

It is better to offer sunnah prayers at home unless it is Sunnah to pray them in congregation in the mosque, such as th Eclipse prayer and nafl prayers before Jumu`ah.
