It is proven that 'Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said when describing the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): “The character of the Prophet mirrored the Quran.”

The status of the Hafiz of the Quran will be commensurate with the last verse he memorized. He will be with the angels, accompanying them. He will be given a crown of honour and a garment of honour to wear. The Quran will intercede for him with his Lord.

Extravagance leads to overstepping the mark, which means eating beyond the point of fullness. This is not limited to one or two or three meals a day. A person may eat one meal a day and eat extravagantly during that meal. Or he may eat three meals without being extravagant.

Self-confidence in Islam means being aware of what Allah has given you of good characteristics and striving accordingly to attain that which will benefit you. If you misuse self-confidence, you will be filled with arrogance and self -admiration, which are two destructive problems.

The Islamic life is the best life that a person could live. This life requires patience and forbearance. Adherence to Islam is not something easy, rather it is like holding on to a live coal. What will help a person to do that, after guidance from Allah, is being patient in adhering to this path until he meets his Lord not being negligent or heedless. One should be certain of the promise of Allah to this Ummah of support and help.

In countries where free mixing between men and women is widespread, a concession may be granted allowing the Muslims to study, teach, and work in mixed environments if they adhere to the Islamic rulings such as lowering the gaze, and not talking and engaging in conversation more than is necessary for the purpose of work or study.

When there is a need to talk to non-mahram women, the basic principle is that it is permissible. But if talking to non-mahram women is done needlessly and only for fun and enjoyment, then there is no doubt that it is haram.

It is permissible to give appropriate Kunyahs to children, both male and female, even if they are still breastfeeding. If they are given the Kunyahs of some of the Companions, male or female, this is something good and is not objectionable.

The Prophet did not urge us to choose names just because they are mentioned in the Quran. There are many names mentioned in the Quran that the Muslim is not allowed to give to his children such as Fir`awn (Pharaoh), Haman and Qarun.

This is how to name a child in Islam: 1- Avoid names that imply enslavement to or worship of anything other than Allah. 2- Avoid names of Allah which are befitting only for Him. 3- It is makruh (disliked) to use names which have off-putting meanings. 4- The best names are ‘Abd-Allah and ‘Abd al-Rahman.
