If the parents do not give their children their rights, and fall short in raising them, that is a sin for which the parents will be brought to account and will be punished, but that does not justify not making du’a for parents or disobeying them.

It is forbidden to help others in sin. The one who helps someone else in sin is also sinning. Not every kind of help is prohibited; rather what is prohibited is deliberate help in which the one who offers it intends to help the person in his sin, or direct help such as carrying alcohol or writing down contracts involving riba.

Conditions of accepting invitations in Islam • There should be nothing objectionable in the place where the party etc. is to be held. • The host should not be someone whom it is obligatory or recommended to forsake. • The host should be a Muslim. • The food offered should be permissible for us to eat. • Accepting the invitation should not lead to neglecting a more important duty. • It should not cause any trouble to the person who is invited.

Visiting the sick is a confirmed Sunnah. The reward attained by the one who visits the sick is likened to the harvest reaped by one who gathers fruit.

When a Muslims sneezes, he can say: Al-hamdu Lillah or Al-hamdu-Lillah ‘ala kulli haal or Al-hamdu-Lillah Rabb il-‘Alamin. The one who hears him can say: Yarhamuk Allah. If he says, ‘Yarhamuk-Allah,’ then let (the sneezer) say, ‘Yahdikum Allah wa yuslihu balakum.’”

• The best and most complete phrase to use when giving the greeting of Salam is: “As-salamu `alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu” and the best phrase to use when returning the greeting is: “Wa `alaykum As-salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.” • With regard to adding ‘wa maghfiratuhu’, it is mentioned in some Hadiths with regard to initiating the greeting and returning it, but these reports are not sound.

The rights that one Muslim has over another are man; some of which are individual obligations that are required of each person, and if he fails to do them he is sinning. Others rights are communal obligations; if some people do them, the burden of sin is waived for the rest. And some are encouraged but not obligatory, so the Muslim is not sinning if he does not do them.

What is required of the Muslim is not to despair of mercy and not to feel safe from punishment; rather they should be in a state between hope and fear, because Allah has condemned those who feel safe from punishment and has condemned those who despair of His mercy.

Siwak is a method of cleaning the mouth which also earns the pleasure of Allah. Siwak is sunnah and recommended at all times of night and day. The scholars have differed as to whether siwak should be done with the right hand or the left hand.
