The reckoning on the Day of Resurrection will be of two types: 1- the presentation of deeds which will be only for the believer; 2- the reckoning in which they will be thoroughly examined. This is the reckoning of Allah for the disbelievers and whomever He will of the sinners among those who affirmed His Oneness.

Sequence of events on the Day of Resurrection: 1- When the people are resurrected and rise from their graves, they will go to the land of gathering. 2- When they have stood for a long time, Allah will first bring forth for His Prophet his cistern to which people will come. 3- Then the people will stand for a long time, then will come the great intercession – the intercession of the Prophet who will ask Allah to hasten the reckoning for all people. 4- After that will come the examination of deeds. 5- Then after the examination will come the reckoning. 6- After the first reckoning, the records of deeds will fly [to the people]. 7- Then after the reading of the records, there will be a further reckoning to leave no room for excuses and establish proof by reading what is in the records. 8- Then after that the balance will be set up, and the things that we have mentioned will be weighed. 9- Then after the balance, people may be divided into groups and categories, with people of similar calibre being grouped together. 10- Then after that, Allah will cause darkness to prevail just before people reach Hell – we seek refuge with Allah. 11- Then the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) will come first, and will be standing on the Sirat. 12- The first to enter Paradise, after the Prophet will be the poor among the Muhajirun and the poor among the Ansar, then the poor among the Ummah.

1- Punishment of the grave will be for many of the sinners among those who affirmed the Oneness of Allah, such as those who slept and (intentionally) missed obligatory prayers, or those who committed Zina, consumed Riba (usury/interest) and liars whose lies spread far and wide. 2- The squeezing of the grave will happen to everyone; even the righteous among the believers will experience some of that.

The belief of Ahl As-Sunnah wal-Jama`ah is that there is torment and punishment in the grave and life in Al-barzakh, and there is blessing and pleasure, according to the status of the deceased. According to the most correct scholarly view, the torment of the grave befalls both the soul and the body.

Some reasons for the punishment in the grave are: shirk and kufr, hypocrisy, changing the religion of Allah, not taking care to avoid getting urine on oneself, spreading malicious gossip among people, ghibah, lying, forsaking the Quran after having learned it, sleeping and missing an obligatory prayer, consuming riba, zina, enjoining righteousness upon others and forgetting oneself, breaking the fast in Ramadan with no excuse, stealing from the war booty, dragging one’s garment out of pride, stealing from the pilgrims, detaining animals and tormenting them, and debt.

The signs of the Day of Judgment are the things that will happen before the Resurrection takes place and will indicate that it is close at hand. They have been divided into major and minor signs.

Muslims love Prophet Muhammad the most for the following reasons: • Allah has commanded us to obey the Prophet. • Allah has told us that obedience to the Prophet is obedience to Him. • Allah has warned us against failing to obey Prophet Muhammad. • The Muslim’s faith cannot be complete unless he loves the Prophet and until the Prophet is dearer to him than his father, his son, his own self and all the people.

You can increase your love for Prophet Muhammad by realizing that: 1. Prophet Muhammad was sent by his Lord Who chose him above all of creation to convey the religion of Allah to mankind. 2. Allah has raised Prophet Muhammad to a high status. 3. He suffered trials and difficulties in order to bring Islam to us. 4. You should follow the example of his companions who loved him deeply. 5. You should follow his Sunnah in word and deed, so that his Sunnah is the path you follow in your whole life.

Muslims believe that: Jesus was one of the slaves of Allah, and one of His noble Messengers, Allah sent Jesus to the Children of Israel to call them to believe in Allah Alone and worship Him Alone, Allah supported Jesus with miracles that proved he was speaking the truth, Jesus was born to the Virgin Maryam with no father, Jesus permitted to the Jews some of the things that had been forbidden to them, Jesus did not die and his enemies the Jews did not kill him, rather Allah saved him from them and raised him up to heaven alive, Jesus told his followers of the coming of our Prophet Muhammad, Jesus will come back down at the end of time, Jesus will disavow himself on the Day of Resurrection of the claims that he was a god.

Allah the Almighty has told us that He has granted excellence to some of the Prophets over the others. The Ummah unanimously agreed that the Messengers are superior to the Prophets, and the Messengers vary in status. The best of the Messengers and Prophets are five: Muhammad, Nuh, Ibrahim, Musa and `Isa (blessings and peace of Allah be upon all of them).
